So I went to a wonderful pet shop called Niah's Ark today and got an adorable 5-week hamster! She's a Syrian hamster with black dominant spots, and is really silky. She still needs a name! She's in her bin cage (I will make an attachment as she grows) and is settling down. But we forgot a water bottle, so we went to petsmart.. And I was really disappointed..
There was a sun Conure that had plucked out all it's chest feathers and was seriously depressed. I wish someone would rescue it :<
While looking in the rodent section, I saw some hamsters.. (I'm pissed that Petsmart is able to have Syrians again.) and I think one had no eyes. It was running around, bumping into the walls, but the first thing I noticed is the eyes never opened! It was sad. Then there was a dead turtle floating on its back because the water wasn't deep enough to flip itself over. It was really upsetting.
Positive note; I think I found my dog's father. There was a miniature poodle that wasn't neutered that had the exact same fur and patterns as Riley, just a bit taller.

Any names suggestions for the hamster? She's shy but super soft.
